A Japanese arita dish of dodecagonal form with a fuchi-bene rim painted with the Deshima Island or Scheveningem design of figure, one leading a bullock, in a watery landscape with European buildings on the horizon, a meander  and four lines underneath.

A series of dishes with European designs was commissioned, probably by private traders of the VOC, using European prints as their source. Scheveningem is a Dutch coastal town.
