famille rose colours with peonies and other flowers beneath a comples border.

The thick enamels disguise the underglaze blue Chinese design, and using famille rose colours made the tepot more fashionable when the blue designs were beginning to go out of style.
Condition: 18th C replacement handle covered in cane, small chip to rim and enamel flaking to knop.
